Lower School Testing

Carrie Brown, Head of Lower School
Dear Families,

Next week your children will be taking standardized tests at school. The tests will primarily be given during the morning hours each day beginning at 8:30am. Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and has a good breakfast before coming to school. Standardized testing at Trinity School is a snapshot of each student's performance during a particular time of the school year. While we do not prepare or teach to these tests, we do use the information they provide us to guide instruction and look at student performance and growth over time. We will share the results with parents when we receive them. Please reach out if you have any questions or need guidance in interpreting the reports.

We understand that some of our Lower School students have siblings in the Preschool Musical. To minimize disruption to testers and to allow us to complete our testing, Lower School students will get a sneak peek of the Preschool Musical in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 30. Therefore, we ask you not to remove your Lower School student from class to attend the Preschool performance on the morning of May 1.

Thanks for your help, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Carrie Brown
Head of Lower School
